Marzena Czarnecka

Member of the Program Council of the Polish Climate Congress.
A legal advisor with extensive experience in the regulatory sector and a Doctor of Economic Sciences with habilitation. She specializes in regulatory matters, consumer policy, competition law, energy law, and labor law. She is the author and co-author of academic works on energy and economic law. For over 20 years, she ran a legal advisory firm and collaborated with all of Poland's largest, primarily private, energy companies. During her professional career, she also worked as in-house counsel for energy companies.
A long-time judge of the Disciplinary Court of the District Chamber of Legal Advisors in Katowice.
An academic teacher, lecturer, researcher, and speaker at national and international conferences. She is a professor and head of the Department of Energy Transformation at the University of Economics in Katowice and was the coordinator of the European project "Tools for Diversity." She also lectures at universities across Europe, including in Saarbrücken (Germany) and Granada (Spain). She served for several years as the representative of ACC Europe in Poland. On December 13, 2023, she was appointed as Minister of Industry.
