Adam Szejnfeld
Senator RP
Chairman of the Program Council of the Polish Climate Congress.
A lawyer, former entrepreneur, and local government official. With his diverse career and extensive experience, he has become someone who not only understands the needs of the transformation of the Polish economy, including infrastructure and energy, but also an expert in areas crucial for economic development, the recovery of public finances, the implementation of sustainable development ideas, and the growth of social welfare.
Currently a Senator in the 11th term and previously in the 10th term of the Polish Senate, Vice Chairman of the National Economy and Innovation Committee, and a member of the Senate Team for Nuclear Energy and Renewable Energy Sources.
Previously a Member of the Polish Parliament (Sejm) during the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th terms, Chairman of many parliamentary committees, including the Economy Committee, the State Treasury Committee, and the "Friendly State" Committee. He also served as a Member of the European Parliament, working on the Committee on International Trade and the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection.
He was Deputy Minister of the Economy from 2007 to 2014 in the government of Donald Tusk, and head of the government anti-crisis committee – the "Steering Committee of the Government Program to Support Initiatives Stimulating the Polish Economy." He is the author of the famous "Szejnfeld Package," the largest deregulation package of Polish economic and administrative law to date.
As a local government official in the early 1990s, understanding the needs of environmental protection, he led the construction of a modern sewage treatment plant and created a system for storing and disposing of solid waste in the municipality where he served as mayor.
Senator Adam Szejnfeld was awarded the "Merit for the Development of the Economy of the Republic of Poland" Medal by the Minister of Economy. He has also received numerous awards from Poland's largest business organizations and the most important Polish media, including Puls Biznesu, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, and the weekly "Polityka."
